tunnel. as we take a look outside, here's the beltway at liberty road, no problems getting down to 95 and the inner loop will be nice and clear through pikesville. this is what 695 looks like. there's nothing to get in your way all the way up to 83. that's a look at your abc 2 time saver traffic. megan, over to you. a family is beginning to say good-bye today to a baltimore man they say died at the hands of police. the viewing is taking place for anthony anderson. he was walking home in east baltimore last week when he ran into several police officers. now, initial police reports say that he died because he was trying to hide drugs by ingesting them. however, now police are admitting that's not true. anderson's family, they want the truth to come out. so coming up in the next half hour, we're going to tell you how this family plans to take action this weekend. anne arundel county woman right now sitting in a jail cell this morning, accused of trying to run over her estranged husband with a pick- up truck. petina moorehead, from shady side has been charged with

attempted murder and police say that the two were arguing when moorehead got into her truck and they say she pinned him behind that truck and another car that was parked. her husband whose name is not being released right now has life-threatening injuries. he's in the hospital. the future of the wrecker theater in towson rests in the hands of the liquor board. this is all after a fraternity party got out of hand last weekend. police say a man was shot and several others were arrested when a huge fight broke out. right now the liquor board can either do nothing, they can suspend or fine or pull the theater's liquor license. that meeting is scheduled for october 15th. we will, of course, keep you posted on what happens. his death has stumped law enforcement officials for decades now, and today they are hoping that a driveway in michigan will lead them to the body of jimmy hoffa. crews right now will be digging in roseville which is a suburb of detroit after police received a tip from a dying man. he claims that he saw a body placed in the ground while that driveway was being built.

hoffa disappeared back in 1975 after walking out of a restaurant in detroit and has never shown up since then and nobody has ever been able to find his body. >> if it somehow happens to be mr. hoffa, well, end a major mystery. >> police have received dozens of tips over the years and have dug up everything from giants stadium to back yard pool. a gunman is among the people killed in a shooting in minneapolis late last night. police say the shooter described as a disgruntled employee walked into the stien store and started shooting. at least three people died, several more were injured. police say the gunman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. when you're home during the day, the last thing you expect is for somebody to kick in your front door and break in. but that's what's happening in howard county. abc 2 news' linda stow has the details. linda, how many times has this happened and what period of time? >>reporter: megan, police in howard county know of at least

10 burglaries this week alone. investigators believe the same man is behind all of them. it appears the burglar is knocking on doors and if someone answers, he acts like he's lost and is trying to find someone's house and then leaves. if no one is home, police say he kicks in the door and takes valuables. the burglary is striking during the late morning and early afternoon in colombia, elkridge, clarksville and woodbien. >> we had a case where he knocked on the door and was a 1 who didn't answer. he then kicked the door in and when he saw that someone was home, he ran. so we don't have a specific or detailed description at this point, but we want anybody who's had anything like this happen in their neighborhood. >>reporter: and police say he should deadbolt exterior doors and hide valuables in places a burglar may not suspect. linda stow, abc 2 news. news time now 4:36. the bitter battle between american airlines and its pilots has taken another nasty

turn. airline executives have threatened legal action. this is all over recent delays. a record number of flights, they have been canceled or delayed as the airline struggles over new contracts with the pilots union. american executives claim that the pilots are purposely causing those delays by calling in sick and writing up more maintenance reports. a rep for the pilots union says the legal threats will only make the negotiations worse. california is joining maryland and illinois in banning the practice of employers asking for social media passwords. this starts in january. it's going to become illegal in that state for employers and universities to ask for an applicant to give over their passwords. now, recruiters, they argue that it is one way that they are more likely to review a potential candidate or use backgrounds. however, lawmakers, they fired back saying the practice is an invasion of privacy and that employers, they were taking advantage of people who were desperate to find a job.

now any child under the age of 8 must be in a booster seat unless that child is over 4'9". some major federal funding is coming to maryland and it's all thanks to the affordable healthcare ability. the head of the howard county health department and senator ben carden, they're going to be on hand for this big announcement happening today. the cal ripken foundation is getting some help this morning. [ inaudible ] plans to donate $25,000 to the foundation in support of their local initiative to help teach critical life lessons to damaged children. two local letter carriers, they are becoming part of an elite club this morning. the u.s. postal service is recognizing two from dun dawk and that's for driving one million miles without being involve inside a single accident. a while back we told you about a woman who brought a real renmore painting. this happened at a yard sale. she bought it for $7 at a flea market in west virginia. turns out that painting may have been stolen from a local museum.

you see the artwork was a surprise and it was supposed to go up for auction and tomorrow, that's when it was going to happen. however, a reporter did a little digging and believes that that painting, it may have been stolen from the baltimore museum of art more than six decades ago. the action has been called off and the fbi is now investigating. a seven-week-old puppy stolen from an animal resource foundation on ken island now back where he belongs this morning. you see, somebody brought mango into the foundation's adoption center last night. we're told that he is doing well and now he's back with his mother. you've heard about the dangers of drinking and driving. well, how about drinking and riding? the wild ride one man took police on and how they managed to finally slow this wayward cowboy down. plus a strange image that was caught by a camera that may have many people taking a second look at it. we're going to show it to you just ahead.
